Privacy policy

The short version

Pontis works offline and needs no account of its own. Your progress is stored on your device. Data leaves your device only when advertising is displayed, when usage statistics are collected, when you choose to sign in to Google Play Games, and when you make a purchase.

Data stored on your device

Your progress (levels, statistics, and settings) is saved locally on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere unless you sign in to Google Play Games. Uninstalling Pontis deletes it.

Advertising

Pontis displays advertising through Google AdMob. To do so, AdMob may process:

• your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID)
• device information such as model, operating system version and language
• approximate location derived from your IP address
• your interactions with the ads shown in the app

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before personalised advertising is used. You can change that choice at any time under Settings → Ad privacy settings in the app.

Removing ads through a purchase stops advertising and the associated data processing entirely.

Analytics

Pontis reports usage statistics through Google Analytics for Firebase, so that we can see how many people play, whether they come back, and which parts of the game they stop at. No account, name, email address or game content is ever sent, and nothing collected identifies you personally.

Collection stays switched off until you agree to it. Where consent is required — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — nothing is collected unless you accept in the consent dialog, and collection is switched off again if you later withdraw that agreement.

Google Play Games Services

Signing in to Google Play Games is optional and off by default. If you sign in:

• your Play Games player ID and public profile name are used to show leaderboards and achievements
• your progress is stored in Google's Saved Games service so it can move between your devices

You can sign out at any time in the app's settings. Google's handling of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Pontis never sees or stores your payment details; it only records whether a purchase is active.

Children

Pontis is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. It has no chat, no user-generated content and no social features beyond Google's own leaderboards.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data relating to you, and you may object to its processing. Because the app itself stores everything locally, most such requests concern Google as the provider of the services named above.

To delete all local data, uninstall the app. To delete cloud-saved progress, remove the game from your Google Play Games profile. For anything else, contact yannick@sequencode.dev.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
